ADIS16250: Programmable Low Power Gyroscope
The ADIS16250/ADIS16255 are complete angular rate measurement systems available in a single compact package enabled by Analog Devices, Inc. iSensor integration. By enhancing Analog Devices iMEMS sensor technology with an embedded signal processing solution, the ADIS16250/ADIS16255 provide factory-calibrated and tunable digital sensor data in a convenient format that can be accessed using a simple SPI serial interface. The ADIS16255 additionally provides an extended temperature calibration. The SPI interface provides access to measurements for the gyroscope, temperature, power supply, and one auxiliary analog input. Easy access to calibrated digital sensor data provides developers with a system-ready device, reducing development time, cost, and program risk.
The device range can be digitally selected from three different settings: ¡À80¡ã/sec, ¡À160¡ã/sec, and ¡À320¡ã/sec. Unique characteristics of the end system are accommodated easily through several built-in features, including a single-command auto-zero recalibration function, as well as configurable sample rate and frequency response. Additional features can be used to further reduce system complexity, including:

System power dissipation can be optimized via the ADIS16250/ ADIS16255 power management features, including an interrupt-driven wake-up. The ADIS16250/ADIS16255 are available in an 11 mm ¡Á 11 mm ¡Á 5.5 mm, laminate-based land grid array (LGA) package with a temperature range of −40¡ãC to +85¡ãC.

ADIS1625x/PCBÆÀ¹À
The ADIS16250/PCB, ADIS16251/PCB, and ADIS16255/PCB are simple evaluation boards that provide convenient access to the ADIS16250, ADIS16251, ADIS16255 using a standard 2 mm, 2 ¡Á 6, connector interface. These connectors can be accessed using a variety of cable options, including standard 1 mm ribbon cables. The ADIS1625x/PCB is designed to be evaluated in an existing digital platform (such as MCU, DSP, FPGA, PLD) or as part of the
ADISEVAL system. Four mounting holes (sized for 2-56 or 2 mm screws) have been provided to secure the board during evaluation.
